jour·ney

: an act or instance of traveling from one place to another
: something suggesting travel or passage from one place to another

Ah, just the thought of traveling brings chills to my body.  We can travel to somewhere familiar, to visit family and friends we have not seen in some time.  This brings brings back memories of times past.  We can also travel to somewhere new; a far away land where we have never been.  This brings feelings of nervous excitement, anticipation.  How will everything look, smell and feel like?  Will we get to experience everything that we hope?  Will this trip be everything we hope it will be?

It's difficult not to fantasize about something that has not happened yet, to build it up bigger and more exciting than it will be.

I had the pleasure of working with a couple young ladies this week who get to travel a LOT.  They're hard workers and really great people.  Respect should be given to all the people along your journey.  A thank you and a smile goes a long way.

Soak it in my friends.  Take it all day by day and enjoy to the moment.  Everyday is a journey.  Treat it like one.

pup·py

: a young domestic dog;  : one less than a year old

This past weekend I had a good friend of mine come over with his puppy.  He is the proud owner of a really cool pug called Billi Beau Diddley.  I've been wanting to take some shots of him for a while and we were finally able to get together for this.  Here's a sample of what we got.  You can also see more of these under the For Sale section of my website (www.robseguin.com).

Thanks Paul.  Billi Beau Diddley was a blast to work with.

PS. My wife wants a puppy more than ever now.  Thanks.

mo·bile

: capable of moving or being moved

I was recently invited to the launch of The Toasted Tangerine - the mobile sandwich press (http://thetoastedtangerine.com).  The owners and husband and wife duo Adrian & Alyssa Tangerine have created a unique take on 'the food truck' by offering healthy and delicious options such as savoury pumpkin & turkey chili, mouth-watering smoked salmon B.L.Ts, roasted pulled chicken sandwiches with apple slaw.  The menu will always be changing depending on the events they're attending, but be rest-assured, the food will always be fresh and amazing.

Be sure to contact them for your next event. You won't be sorry.

Here are some images of their grand opening which took place in Port Credit.  A little bird also told me that they're now licensed for Toronto as well.

PS. As the biggest Led Zeppelin fans I've EVER met, they had to make sure that their mobile kitchen had mobile tunes.  What these images don't show you is the great classic rock music blasting from weather-proof speakers built into the side of the truck.

in·au·gu·rate

: to dedicate ceremoniously : observe formally the beginning of
: to bring about the beginning of

Now that we're officially open for business at www.robseguin.com, I'd like to talk a little about what we're doing here.

First off, I'm a Toronto based photographer shooting stock, fashion, weddings, events and portraits.

I've been shooting stock for about a year and a half now.  Now that I've built up a great collection of images, I wanted to get these up on my website for the world to see.  Look in GALLERIES to find everything we've got for sale.  We have set these up as royalty-free licenses and priced out very well.  As a special bonus, you can receive a 10% discount when you purchase any images before January 31, 2012.  Just enter coupon code "BLOGLAUNCH" when you checkout.  There's no minimum purchase to receive this discount.

You'll also see my favourite images from various shoots, weddings and special projects I've worked on over the last couple years.  You can find these under PORTFOLIO.

As always, we welcome any comments or questions.

res·ur·rect

: to raise from the dead
: to bring to view, attention, or use again

Hi
I'm Rob
A photographer
A photographer with a brand spanking new website

YAY!!!  Finally.  We're LIVE and ready for business at www.robseguin.com

It's been quite the ride for the last week, but we're now doing cartwheels over here.  You should see it.  The dogs are looking at us like we're nuts.

You'll notice quite a few changes from the last version. The biggest change that you'll see is under GALLERIES where we've got a FOR SALE sign up.  This is where we've got our awesome stock images up for sale.  We will do custom work.  Just let us know what you're looking for.

Another exciting change is the fact that once you enter a gallery, you have the option to go full screen with a slideshow.

We'll be adding a lot of little things along the way too.

I'm looking forward to hearing from all of you.  Right now, I've got to get back to that bottle of champagne we just popped.

pot·hole

: a pot-shaped hole in a road surface
: a usually minor difficulty or setback

Hi
I'm Rob
A photographer
A photographer having some technical difficulties

I wouldn't call myself a technologically inept person, but I have felt like one over the last few days. Yes, I know my way around a camera.  I feel completely at home with a computer.

BUT, when it comes to networking, or setting up a DNS yadda yadda yadda....PLEASE!!!

I do believe that I finally have all the kinks ironed out, and things will up and running very soon (within hours).

In the meantime my website is a complete disaster.  When you type in my address in the lovely address bar at the top of this screen, you're getting a really nice page full of ads.

I refuse to blog until I have great news.
Until then, as Mr Red green said, keep your stick on the ice.
